In addition to utilizing donations of time and labor, Habitat depends on the financial generosity of its supporters. Donations of cash, land, and materials are needed to keep the homes rising.

Habitat for Humanity International's secure donation site provides a safe way for you to donate money to MCHFH on-line. Habitat’s Cars for Homes™ program accepts vehicle donations. When you fill out the forms, please remember to specify that you would like your contribution to go to Mon County Habitat for Humanity.

Membership in the Carpenters' Club offers an ongoing way to financially support Mon County Habitat. You, your family, church, business, or civic group can pledge to sponsor a square foot (or two, or more) of house for $40 per square foot per house. The pledge is due each time a house is completed, up to a maximum of three times per year. You may sign up online or call the Habitat office for more information.

We are always looking for sites upon which to build Habitat houses and material with which to build them. If you would like to make a donation of land or materials, please contact the Habitat office with details.

We also accept donations of building materials, appliances, and more for our ReStore, a retail outlet where quality used and surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices to help us fund the construction of Habitat houses.

Another way to donate to Mon County Habitat for Humanity is by leaving a gift through your will. Whether your bequest is for a specific item, a particular dollar amount, or a percentage of your estate, it can provide resources needed to eliminate substandard housing in Mon County. In addition to providing benefits to MCHFH, your estate will receive a tax deduction for the value of your gift. If you have already prepared your will and want to include a provision for MCHFH, that can be done through a codicil (or amendment). Our office has sample bequest language to aid your attorney in this process.

Your local donation has a global impact: ten percent of all unrestricted donations are tithed to our sister affiliate in
Guatemala . Home costs there are a fraction of what they are here, so for every house we build in Mon County, we help build two or three more homes in Guatemala through our tithe.
